BY-LAW 2011-078
Being a by-law to amend By-law 2004-253 to provide for Civil Marriage Services to be
Offered by the Municipality of Clarington
WHEREAS on December 13, 2004, the Council of the Municipality of Clarington
passed By-law 2004-253 to "opt in" to providing civil marriage services;
AND WHEREAS By-law 2004-253 states that civil marriage services will be
provided Monday to Friday in the Council Chambers, Municipal Administrative
Centre, 40 Temperance Street;
AND WHEREAS the Municipal Clerk's Designate has received a request to perform a
civil marriage service outside the parameters set by By-law 2004-253:
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE
MUNICPALITY OF CLARINGTON HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
THAT the Municipal Clerk's Designate is permitted to perform a civil marriage
service on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Elmhirst's Resort, RR#1,
1045 Settlers Line, Keene, Ontario;
2. THAT the fee of$250 is waived for these particular civil services.
By-law passed in open session this 18th day of July 2011.
