To Authorize the Mayor and Clerk to
execute and affix the Corporate
Seal to a certain Agreement between
the Corporation of the Town of
Bowmanville and N.E.Sweet Company
Limited.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CORP(R ATION OF THE TOWN OF
BOW-MANVILLE ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the Mayor and Clerk be and are hereby authorized
to execute and affix the Corporate Seal to a certain agreement
dated the 7th day of January A.D., 1963 between the Corporation
of the Town of Bowmanville and The N. E. Sweet Company.
READ a First and Second time this 7th day of January
A.D., 1963.
READ a Third time and Finally passed this 7th day of
February, 1963.

3. The Party of the Second Pard undertakes to build a
factory haveing a floor area of approximately 101000 square feet
in accordance with plans filed and to complete construction thereof
before the 31st day of July, 1963.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF the Parties have hereunto set their
corporate seals attested by their officers duly authorized in
that behalf.

M E M O R A N D U M OF A G R E E M E N T
made this 18th day of February 1963;
B E T W E E N:
THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF BOVRI ANVILLE,
hereinafter called the "TOudN" OF THE FIRST PART:
and N. E. SWEET C014PANY LIMITED having its head
office at the City of shawa in the County of
Ontario.
hereinafter called the "COMPANY" OF THE SECOND PART:
WHEREAS the Company has purchased certain lands in
original Township Lot 10 in the Broken Front Concession of the Town
of Bowmanville for the purpose of constructing thereon a factory;
AND WHEREAS THE Town has agreed to provide certain
municipal services for the property in consideration of the Company
undertaking to construct the said factory.
AND WHEREAS the Town has provided for the installation of
the said services from its current revenue.
NOW THEREFORE in consideration of the remises, the
covenants herein and the sum of ONE DOLLAR ($1.00 now paid to
each of the parties by the other (the receipt whereof is acknowledged
by each of the said parties), the said parties for themselves, their
successors and assigns HEREBY COVENANT AND AGREE AS FOLLOWS:
1. The Town shall install at no expense to the owner the
following services:
(1) 10" sanitary sewers from the Base Line Road Southerly
along Simpson Avenue to a point opposite the proposed
factory building;
(2) 8" watermain from the Base Line Road Southerly along
Simpson Avenue to a point opposite the proposed factory
building; Water supply for construction purposes to be
available by April 15th, 1963.
(3) Hydro- Electric service from the Base Line Road to a
point in Simpson Avenue opposite the said factory
building;
(4 ) Road leading Southerly from Simpson Avenue from the
Base Line Road to the driveway to the said factory buildings
2. The Town shall commence construction of the said services
before the 15th day of April, 1963 save as to the road which shall be
graded and packed ready for travel by 15th day of April, and on which
the surface shall be laid as soon thereafter as weather conditions
