RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee
recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT Report PD-195-87 be received; and
2. THAT Report PD-145-87 be lifted from the table and the recommendations therein be
approved; and
3. THAT a copy of Council's decision be forwarded to the applicant.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
* On May 19, 1987, Committee considered Staff Report PD-145-87 (copy attached) which
recommended that the applications for rezoning and Hamlet Plan Amendment submitted by Mr.
Paul Gordon to permit the creation of one additional residential lot be denied. The
Region of Durham Health Unit objected to the proposal. The report was tabled for one
month at the request of the applicant to permit further disucssions with the Health Unit.
On June 15, 1987, Committee adopted the recommendations in Staff Report PD-167-87 (copy
* attached) which recommended that the applications be tabled for one additional month.

Staff discussions with Health Unit staff indicate that the Health Unit has
not amended its position in respect of the subject applications. It is
therefore recommended that Report PD®145-87 be lifted from the table and the
recommendations therein approved.
