RECOt~lENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee
recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT Report PD-186-87 be received; and
L. THAT the application filed by Mr. J. Kennedy on behalf of Schickedanz Bros. Ltd.
be referred to Staff for processing of the draft plan of subdivision.
BACKGROUND & COMMENT:
On May 5, 1987 the Planning Department received an application filed by P1r. J. Kennedy on
behalf of Schickedanz Bros. to rezone a 25.93 hectare parcel of land to permit the
development of a 424 unit plan of subdivision. On May 21, 1987 Staff received the request
for comments on a proposed Plan of Subdivision from the Region of Durham. Staff
distributed a joint circulation for both applications.

Prior to proposing a zoning change Staff wishes to evaluate all of the
comments with respect to the plan of subdivision. At this time a number of
comments are outstanding. Without these comments, Staff are not in a
position to deal with the draft conditions for approval of the subdivision.
The point of utmost concern is regarding the provision of services to the
site. At this time Staff has not been involved in this discussion and do
not know of the status of any proposals.
At the time the subdivision has been reviewed in full both a recommendation
on the zoning and draft conditions shall be brought forward.
