BOARD MEETING

1. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by the Chair at 7:00 p.m.
2ADOPTION OF AGENDA

Moved by: J. Witheridge Seconded by: B. Colville
THAT the agenda be approved with the addition of 4(a) Sturch Estate.
MOTION CARRIED
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Moved by: J. Witheridge Seconded by: Councillor Robinson
THAT the minutes of the meeting of January 13, 2010 be approved.
MOTION CARRIED
4. BUSINESS ARISING
a) Council has approved the request from the museum for
release of $2000.00 from the Sturch Estate.
5. COMMITTEE REPORTS
a) Finance Committee:
Councillor Robinson inquired how the HST would apply to the
museum. The Executive Director will be consulted regarding this
matter.

THAT the Finance Committee Report be approved.

6. EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S REPORT
Moved by: J. Witheridge Seconded by: W. Tanner
THAT the Executive Director’s Report be accepted.
MOTION CARRIED
Moved by: J. Witheridge Seconded by: S. Laing
THAT the Executive Director seek the advice of the Municipality
of Clarington Arborist regarding the trees.
MOTION CARRIED
7. NEW BUSINESS
W. Tanner asked that the sign in front of the Sarah Jane Williams
building be repaired.
8. DATE AND PLACE OF NEXT BOARD MEETING
The next meeting of the Board of Directors of the Clarington Museums
MARCH 10, 2010
and Archives will be held on at the Sarah Jane
7:00 p.m.
