SUBJECT: INDUSTRIAL DIRECTORY
RECOMMENDATIONS:
1. That this report be received for information.

At the General Purpose and Administration Committee meeting of
January 3 1983 the following resolution was passed:
#GPE-38-83
"That the matter of a directory of Town industries
be referred to the Chief Administrative Officer for
a report".
For the information of Committee, staff have obtained a number of
copies of the 1983 Directory of Manufacturers as prepared by the
Region of Durham and have circulated same to Ontario Hydro.
The Purchasing and Supply Agent also has been supplied with a
copy for reference purposes.
A more complete list of Businesses and Industries in the Town
will be compiled this summer as part of the Newcastle Tourism
Development Project.
