SUBJECT: CANADA/ONTARIO EMPLOYMENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
RECOMMENDATIONS:
1. That this report be received; and
2. That Council adopt the following resolution:
" Staff are hereby authorized to submit an
application to the Canada/Ontario Employment
Development Program for the projects, subject
of Administrator's Report 9 - 83. "
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
As members of Council are aware, the Town of Newcastle has been
allocated $107,200 under the Canada/Ontario Employment Development Program.
Notice of the program and the program application were received by the
General Purpose and Administration Committee on January 3 1983 and
referred to the Chief Administrative Officer.
Town staff have been requested to submit suggestions for projects under
the program. A project outline has been compiled by the Chief Administrative
Officer (under separate cover) with reference to suggestions made by
staff, the Library and the Orono B. I. A.
