HAND-OUT REPORT TO THE GENERAL PURPOSE AND ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE
MEETING OF JULY 12, 1982

SUBJECT: GLENSON INVESTMENTS
PROPOSED REZONING
PINE STREET CLOSURE AND CONVEYANCE
RECOMMENDATIONS:
1. That this report be received; and
2. That the unopened Pine Street road allowance be
closed and conveyed in accordance with the new
Town policy in respect of closure/conveyance of
road allowances (Report WD-55-82) and
3. That the representatives of Glenson Investments
Limited be so advised.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
Following on the discussion at the Council meeting of July 5, 1982 in respect of
the above, staff convened a meeting with representatives of Glenson Investments,
and the staff of the Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority (Friday
July 9, 1982).

The following points were discussed and agreement reached on a revised site plan
(sketch attached) that incorporates 162 parking spaces using only the southerly
half of the Pine Street road allowance.
Additional parking spaces have been undivided within the floodplan area of the
site with the concurence of C.L.O.C.A. staff.
Points of Dicussion
1. Change in alignment of service vehicle access drive.
2. Placement of additional ties of parking in floodplan on original submission.
3. Conveyance of Pine Street to abutting owner, southerly half to form part of
private access.
4. Future possible relocation of house and severance of residential lot.
Staff note that the developer will require additional engineering appraisal
through the site plan agreement and of course the rezoning of the property. In
addition, the applicant would appropriately be required to follow the new policy
on road closures as set -out in the recommendations (staff report WD-55-82).
