SUBJECT: DARLINGTON GENERATING STATION
COURTICE URBAN AREA
STORM WATER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
SUPPLEMENTARY AGREEMENT NO. 7
RECOMMENDATIONS:
1. That this report be received; and
2. That Council approve and authorize execution of
Supplementary Agreement No. 7 in respect of Storm
Water Management in the Courtice Urban Area; and
3. That the attached by-law be approved giving effect
to above; and
4. On execution, that Supplementary Agreement No. 7
be forwarded to the Regional Municipality of Durham
for approval.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
As Members of Committee are aware, the attached Supplementary Agreement has been
negotiated with Ontario Hydro through the Hydro Liaison Committee.
In view of the Town's committments to provide a plan for housing Hydro Workers,
and as the Town has approved development in Courtice, the agreement will allow the
Town to draw $150,000.00 from the Station"B" account, to assist in the installation
of storm sewer facilities (by March 31, 1982).
It is recommended that the Town execute the agreement and forward it to the Region
for execution.
