MEETING OF JANUARY 11 1982

SUBJECT: PROPOSALS FOR RENOVATION AND RESTORATION
OF THE FRONT PORCH OF BOWMANVILLE MUSEUM
RECOMMENDATIONS:
1. That this report be received; and

2. That staff be authorized to review the proposals received
for the restoration and reconstruction project in conjunction
with David A. G. Mills, Architect for the Bowmanville
Museum Board, and further to review the proposals with the Board
as may be necessary.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
As members of the Committee are aware, a proposal call was made for
undertaking the reconstruction and repair of the Museum porch on the
basis of specifications prepared by Mr. David A. G. Mills, Architect
for the Bowmanville Museum Board.
Three proposals were received in response to the proposal call.
It would now be appropriate for these submissions to be reviewed by
staff and the consulting architect, with a view to awarding the project
on the basis of a.further report to Committee and Council.
