MEETING OF JANUARY 11 1982.

SUBJECT: PUBLIC PRESENTATION OF ADMINISTRATIVE
FACILITIES STUDY
RECOMMENDATIONS:
1. That this report be received for information.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
At the Special Council meeting of December 18 1981, staff were requested
to bring forward a report in respect of how the Administration
Facilities Study might be presented to the public.
At this time, staff have arranged for the display of the conceptual
building plans for the renovation and expansion of the Town Hall in the
40 Temperance Street building.
Members of the public will be invited by public notice to come to the Town
Hall and view the plans and to make comment. Staff have also arranged for
a presentation of the plans to be made to the public on Thursday; January 21 1982
at 7:30 p.m. in Court Room #1. Staff propose on the evening of the 21st,
in addition to the presentation, that the Town Hall be opened for interested
persons to view the existing administrative facilities.
Staff feel it would be appropriate for Council to adopt a resolution
formally requesting Ontario Hydro to assist in the financing of a possible
renovation and expansion of the Town Hall.
