RE: Status of Positions of Deputy Fire Chief and
Confidential Secretary to the Planning Department
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that this report be received
for information.
BACKGROUND AND
COMMENT:
Both of the above-mentioned positions have been
advertised internally.
In the case of the position of Deputy Fire Chief,
two applications were received and both applicants interviewed.
One of the two internal applications is to be considered again
with external applicants. Job advertisements have been
placed in appropriate newspapers.
In the case of the "Confidential Secretary to the
Planning Department", no internal applications were received.
The job has been advertised in appropriate newspapers.
