It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee
recommend to Council the following:

APPLICATIONS:
A 40/87 - Lynda Nelson, Lot ]9, Concession 2, Darlington
Application was made for relief from zoning by-law requirements in
order to permit the applicant to enlarge an existing legal non-
conforming agricultural building leaving 14.3 m side yards, instead
of the required 15 m side yards.
Lynda Nelson appeared in support of this application. No other
person appeared in support of or in opposition to this application.
Moved by Mr. Murdoch, seconded by Mr. Herring,
"THAT as the requested variance would not appear to
offend the intent of the Official Plan or Zoning By-
law and would not appear to have an adverse effect
on the surrounding properties, the variances are
considered minor in nature and permission is GRANTED
to enlarge a legal non-conforming agricultural building
leaving 14.3 m side yards."

Committee of Adjustment Meeting, May 28, 1987......
A 41/87 - George W. Davidson, Lot 31, Concession 3, Darlington.
Application was made for relief from zoning by-law requirements in
order to permit the applicant to construct a 880 sq. ft. accessory
building which would exceed the maximum requirement of not more than
40% of the main building total floor area.
Mr. Davidson appeared in support of this application. No other
person appeared in support of or in opposition to this application.
Moved by Mr. Rehder, seconded by Mr. Murdoch,
"THAT as the requested variance does not-appear to~~
offend the intent of the Official Plan or Zoning By-
law and would not appear to have a detrimental effect
on the surrounding properties, the variance is con-
sidered minor in nature and permission if GRANTED
to construct a 880 sq, ft. accessory building."

A 42/87 - Castcar Investments Limited, Lot 29, Concession 1, Darlington.
Application was made for relief from zoning by-law requirements in
order to permit the applicant to construct an Industrial Building
leaving a 1 ft. side yard, instead of the required 5 m side yard.
David McCrone appeared in support of this application. No other
person appeared in support of or in opposition to this application.
Moved by Mrs. Payne, seconded by Mr. Rehder,
"THAT as the proposed variance would appear to conform
with the intent of the Official Plan and the Zoning By-
law, and as the variance would appear to be desirable
for the further development of the area, permission is
GRANTED to construct an industrial building leaving a
side yard of 1.2 metres (4 feet), instead of the re-
quired 5 m side yard."

A 43/87 - Sam L. Cureatz, Lot 9, Concession 8, Clarke,

Application was made for relief from zoning by-law requirements in
order to permit the applicant to construct a single family dwelling
approximately 150 m from an agricultural building.
Mr. Cureatz, Ms. Boyd, and Mr. Thompson appeared in support of this
application. No other person appeared in support of or in opposition
to this application.
Moved by Mrs. Payne, seconded by Mr. Murdoch,
"THAT as the requested variance would not= appear to-
offend the intent of the Official Plan or Zoning By-
law and as the dwelling will be outside the require-
ment of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food for the
existing agricultural use, therefore this variance is
considered minor in nature and permission is GRANTED
to construct a sirigl.~ family dwel.l.ing approximately
193 metres from an agricultural building."

A 44/87 - Eliza Mostert, Lot 24, Concession 1, Clarke.
Application was made for relief from zoning by-law requirements in
order to permit the applicant to construct a second farm related
dwelling on a 32 acre (12.9 ha) parcel of land, whereas the. by-law •_
requires a minimum of 20 ha for a second farm related dwelling.
Mr. Mostert appeared in support of this application. No other
person appeared in support of or in opposition to this application.
Moved by Mr. Herring, seconded by Mr. Murdoch,
"THAT as the proposed variance would appear to conform
with the intent of the Official Plan and as the lands
owned by the applicant are divided by the Canadian
Pacific right-of-way causing one parcel to be under-
size and as the construction of a second dwelling on
this parcel would not have a detrimental effect on the
area, permission is GRANTED for the second dwelling on
a 32 acre (12.9 ha) parcel of land whereas the by-law
requires a minimum of 20 ha for a second farm related
dwelling."
