BY-LAW NO. 99-138
being a by-law to amend By-law 89-173, a by-law
respecting the appointment of a Chief Building
Official and Building Inspectors and to repeal
By-law 96-183
WHEREAS the Ontario Building Code Act requires Council to appoint a Chief Building
Official to enforce the Ontario Building Code
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF CLARINGTON ENACTS
AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT By-law 89-173 be amended, as follows:
By deleting paragraph 1) in its entirety and replacing it with the following:
a) THAT Mr. Richard Pigeon be appointed as the Chief Building Official for the
Municipality of Clarington, effective Monday, August 30, 1999.
b) By deleting the name "Gary Hanewich" from Schedule 'B'.
c) THAT in the absence of the Chief Building Official, the Director of Public
Works or his designate shall be appointed as the Acting Chief Building
Official.
By-law read a first and second time this 13th day of September 1999.
By-law read a third time and finally passed this 13th day of September 1999.
