BY-LAW NUMBER 99- 15 0
being a by-law to authorize the execution of the Land Transfer
Agreement between the Corporation of the Municipality of
Clarington and the Ministry of Natural Resources.
WHEREAS the Ministry of Natural Resources is the owner of the Orono Mill Pond Dam.
AND WHEREAS the Ministry of Natural Resources have proposed to convert the Dam to an
overflow weir at no cost to the Municipality.
AND WHEREAS the General Purpose and Administration Committee at it's meeting of October
4, 1999 approved the Recommendations in Report WD-37-99 by Resolution GPA-460-99.
AND WHEREAS Council at it's meeting of October 12, 1999 approved the actions of the
General Purpose and Administration Committee at the October 4, 1999 meeting.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council of the Corporation of the
Municipality of Clarington enacts as follows:
1. THAT the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to execute, on behalf of the Corporation of the
Municipality of Clarington, the Land Transfer Agreement between the Corporation of the
Municipality of Clarington and the Ministry of Natural Resources.
2. THAT this by-law will come into effect when the works are completed to the satisfaction
of the Director of Public Works.
BY-LAW read a first and second time this 12t11 day of October, 1999.
BY-LAW read a third time and finally passed on this 12th day of October, 1999.
