Being a by-law to amend By-law 93-144, a by-law to regulate
The Clearing Away and Removal of Snow and Ice
From the Roofs of Buildings and from the Sidewalks
Within The Municipality of Clarington
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Clarington deems it
adviseable to amend by-law 93-144;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Clarington
Enacts as follows:
1. That by-law 93-144 be amended as follows:
a) renumbering Section 1 to Subsection 1(a).
b) adding subsection 1(b) as follows:
"1(b) Notwithstanding subsection 1(a), in the event a fall of snow has an
accumulation greater than twenty centimetres, the twelve hour time frame
as set out in subsection 1(a) shall be extended to thirty six hours."
2. This By-law shall come into full force and effective immediately on the day of
Final passing by Council.
By-law read a first and second time this 13 day of December 1999.
By-law read a third time and finally passed this 13 day of December 1999.
