Mariglia Bosgraaf,Recording Secretary CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 7:02 p.m. by the Chair ADOPTION OF AGENDA Moved By: J. Witheridge Seconded By: M. Van Dyke THAT the Agenda be approved. MOTION CARRIED APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES OF June 9, 2004 Moved By: J. Witheridge Seconded By: J. Rowe THAT the minutes of the Board Meeting of June 9, 2004 be approved with the amendment to Business Arising b)that the motion was carried. MOTION CARRIED BUSINESS ARISING a) Clarington History Display: The Board was given an overview of the Regional History Display proposal and asked to make any suggestions or additions. Moved By: J. Witheridge Seconded By: T. Oke THAT the proposal for the Clarington Regional History Display be accepted and Susan Mariglia Bosgraaf complete the project as planned. MOTION CARRIED b) Kirby United Church: Moved By: J. Witheridge Seconded By: D. Climenhage THAT Clarington Museums and Archives Board is in the investigation stage of the potential of accepting the Kirby United Church and moving the building to the Clarke Museum site and; THAT the Museum Administrator is working with the Director of Operations and other Municipal staff to assess the viability of accepting and moving Kirby United Church and ; THAT Clarington Museums and Archives Board request Council to advance funds to the museum to cover the expense of the Certified Structural Integrity Analysis estimated between$5,000.00 - $7,500.00 to be reimbursed to Council through fundraising and; THAT any associated fees from the Planning Department incurred during the assessment and potential move of the Church building be waived. MOTION CARRIED NEW BUSINESS a) Old Bowmanville Neighbourhood Association Moved By: J. Witheridge Seconded By: M. Van Dyke THAT a response letter be sent to William Humber and copied to Municipal Council and Old Bowmanville Neighbourhood Association Members regarding Charles Taws not attending the fifth annual meeting of said association. MOTION CARRIED DATE AND PLACE OF NEXT BOARD MEETING Moved By: J. Witheridge Seconded By: J. Rowe THAT the next Board meeting will be held on August 11, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. at Newcastle Town Hall. MOTION CARRIED ADJOURNMENT Moved By: D. Climenhage THAT the meeting adjourn at 8:35 p.m.
