REPORT OF MEETING

RECOMMENDATIONS:
• 1. THAT this report be received; and
2. THAT the following appointments be approved by Council; and
3. THAT the Boards and Committees be advised of these appointments.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
The Striking Committee met on Friday, March 29th 1985 and following a
review of the material submitted, made the following appointments:
1. Bowmanville Memorial Hospital Board,
Helen Nesbitt, Donald Peebles, Glenn Fry;
2. Bowmanville Museum Board,
• Andrew Thompson and Joan Webster for the years 1985 & 1986;
3. Clarke Museum and Archives Board,
Donna Robins, Ray Dickson, Norma Lee for the years 1985,
1986 and 1987;
And Dean Westbrook for the unexpired term of Don Robins
appointment (December 31st 1986);
4. Property Standards Committee,
Mr. W.H. Clipperton for the years 1985, 1986 and 1987;
And that Joseph McIlroy, whose appointment ends in June 1985.
be thanked for his contribution to the Committee.
5. Newcastle Community Hall Board,
Narda Hoogkamp and Sierd DeJong for the years 1984 and 1985
and R.B. Rickard and Fred Couch for the years 1985 and 1986;
6. Newcastle Arena Management Board,
Gary Woodbeck, Ron Hope, Beth Creighton, William McKay, Gary
Hooper, Wynn Collier, Don Rogers appointed for the year 1985.
