1. MINUTES
Moved by J. Calder, seconded by C. Yaki
That April 212020 minutes are accepted as presented.

2. BUSINESS ARISING
a) CEWS Update — Application for April to May has been submitted. No funds have been
received to date.
b) Masonry Update — Chair B. Carmichael reported a 5 year plan will be coming from Municipal
contact Rob Groen.
c) Student Volunteer — could assist with outdoor garden work and social media. This is still in
process of being investigated.
d) Curtain Track — Chair will be obtaining quote for next meeting
e) Garden Art - tabled
3. FINANCIAL REPORT
a) Moved by J. Calder, seconded by G. Anderson
That financial report is received as presented. "Carried"
4. INVOICES

S. RISK MANAGEMENT REPORT
Report received, will be submitted to Operations Dept. for any follow up issues.
6. NEW BUSINESS
a) Update on cancelled events
- 2 additional refunds have been issued
- All events cancelled to end of July, some into October. Discussed separating events i.e.
Weddings and fundraisers. J. Calder reported BIA has cancelled Town Hall Lighting and
Fall Harvest.
- BIA is in process of having T-shirts made to sell to offset cost of lighting hall without the
event itself. Board has given permission to use image of hall on t-shirts.
Motion by J. Calder, seconded by C. Yaki
That any cancellation due to CoVid19 will be accepted with no penalty.

b) Durham Lodge requesting rebate on rent during Hall closure. At this time it was suggested
groups could possibly tap into subsidies offered by Municipality to assist with rent.
Discussed we still have to pay for utilities so would have to consider cost of this in rent as
well.
c) Mulch for Gardens — Chai B. Carmichael would like gardens to be a priority. We will request
meeting with Director of Operations for how to proceed with care of gardens.
d) Chair B. Carmichael is working with Elberhorst Bell's Canada and Municipality for repair of
Clock.
