REPORT TO THE COUNCIL MEETING OF JUNE 24, 1985.

SUBJECT: STRIKING COMMITTEE REPORT RESPECTING THE FILLING OF A
VACANCY ON THE NEWCASTLE COMMUNITY SERVICES PLANNING
BOARD.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that Council approve the appointment to the
Newcastle Community Services Planning Board detailed herein.
1. That this report be received; and
2. That Council approve the appointment of Mr. Gordon Robinson,
R. R. #1, Newtonville, Ontario, to the Newcastle Community Services
Planning Board as a representative of Ward 3; and
3. That the Board and Mr. Robinson both be advised of Council's decision.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
There has been a vacancy on the Planning Board for representatives from Ward 3.
The Striking Committee in informal session determined, that the Mayor and
Councillor Woodyard be authorized to find a replacement to fill the vacancy.
I would advise, that the sub-committee has been successful and are recommending
that Mr. Gordon Robinson, R.R. #1, Newtonville, be appointed by Council to fill
the vacancy relative to Ward 3 representation on the Newcastle Community Services
Planning Board.
