SUBJECT:. APPLICATION FOR APPROVAL OF TILE DRAINAGE LOAN
WALTER PINGLE (LANDS AT LOTS 27 & 28, CONC. 4, DARLINGTON)
46 LIBERTY STREET, BOWMANVILLE
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that Council approve the following:
~ 1. THAT this report be received; and
2. THAT the Tile Drainage Loan Application submitted by Mr. Walter Pingle,
46 Liberty Street, Bowmanville, L1C 2N3 for drainage of lands located
in Lots 27 and 28, Concession 4, Darlington, in the amount of $7,200.00
be approved; and
3. THAT the Tile Drainage Debenturing by-law in the amount of $7,200.00 be
passed by Council; and
4. THAT the Clerk be authorized to make application to the Regional Municipality
of Durham for debenturing of the said Tile Drainage Loan.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:

Mr. Pingle filed an application fora Tile Drainage Loan in the amount of $12,000.
on November 27th 1984. The works were completed in the latter part of 1984 and
subsequently paid invoices totalling $12,344.10 were submitted for the Works
Department's review. The Drainage Inspector inspected the works and filed an
Inspection and Completion Certificate in the amount of $7,400.00 on July 4th 1985.
Because the amount originally approved (based upon estimates) and reserved by the
Ministry of Agriculture and Food was $7,200.00, it is the opinion that the loan
must be limited to this lesser amount.
It is recommended therefore that Council approve the loan application in the
amount of $7,200.00, enact the necessary by-law and authorize the Clerk to make
application to the Region for debenturing.
