RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee
recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT Report CLD-015-11 be received;
2. THAT the resignation of Jim Becksted be received, with regret, and that he be
thanked for his interest in the Abandoned Cemeteries Board; and
3. THAT be appointed to the Board for a term concurrent with
Council.

BACKGROUND
At the Council meeting of January 31, 2011, appointments were made to the
Abandoned Cemeteries Board. On May 26, 2011 a resignation was received from Jim
Becksted due to the fact that he is moving out of the area.
The Municipal Clerk's Department has contacted five individuals whose applications are
on file. Copies of the applications received from the five individuals have been
circulated under separate cover as they contain personal information about the
applicants. As of the writing of this report, confirmation has been received from the
following individuals that they are still interested in serving on the committee:
Scott Kimmerer
Laura Suchan
Todd Taylor
Christopher Weller
CONCLUSION
It is respectfully recommended that Jim Becksted be thanked for his interest in the
Board and that another individual be appointed to fill the vacancy.
