a Local Improvement under the provisions of the Loop l Improvement

WHEREAS James saobell ,and others have petitioned the Council to
oonetruot as a, Looal Improvement the works hereinafter mentioned,
and the Clerk has certified, that the petition is sufficiently signed
and it is expedient to grant the prayer of the petition in manner
hereinafter provided,
THEHEFOBE the Municipal Council of the Town of Bowmanville enacts

as follows;
First;
That a six inoh' Iron ri p a be laid on Kin Street East from

Liberty Street to a point 2350. feet East and from that point
a two inch Galvanized Iron Pipe be ;aid to a point .300 feet
East*
Second; -
fta t isms' 'aennedy as Engineer of the, Corporation of the Town ;
of Bowmanville do ,forthwith make such , plans, profiles, and
c4speoifioations and furnish such information as may be
neQessary for the making of a oontraot , for the execution of
the work.
Third;
,That the wort shall be carried on"and executed under the
superintendance and according to the direction of such r
Engineer.
„ Fourth;
'That the Mayor and Clerk, it they deem it ' advisable, are ,=
authorizer to cause a contract for the construction of the
work, to be made and entered into with some person or persons,
firm or corporation, subject to the approv &l . of this Council .
to.-be declared by resolution,*
fifth;
That the Treasurer may (sub jeet to the, approval of the Council)
agree with any Bank or pare one- for the . temporary advances of
money to meet the cost of the. work, pending the completion -of it.

That the special assessment is-hall be. paid .by., twenty annual

,Any person whose lot is specially assessed may commute for 8
l payment in cash, the special rates imposed thereon, by payin#
the portion of the cost of. construct ion assessed upon such
lot without the interest, forthwith after the Special
Assessment Boll has been a erti f i ed by the Clerk, and, at any
time thereafter by the payment of such sum as,, when invested'
