A By-law of the Corporation of the Town of Bowmanville to authors
Is* the oonstruetion of a Water Main on Third Street from Elgin
to High Street and on High Street from Third Street expending
northerly 455 feet ; also for the csonetruotion of Cement sidewalks

on Temperanoe Street east side from King to Queen Street , on
�;- Liberty Street lust side from Queen street to the Baseline , on
Brown street west side from Church Street to Wellington Street ,
o Second Streeet from i lgin Street to Jas Gills residence 199.6feete

FWhereas Henry Allison, Jr . Cox , H. Wakelin, James Gill and others
have pot'i-tioned the Council to eonetruet as a Looal Improvement
under provisions of the- looal Improvement Act the works hereinafter
described and the Clerk bias Bart-ified that the petitions are
y auffiaient ly signed, and A ; is expedient to grant the prayer of the,
Petitions in manner hereinafter described and provided.
Therefore the Nu.ntoipal Couneil of the Corporation, of the, town
of Bowm4nvi lie enacts as fold.ows
let . That a two inah water main be extended and. constructed onr
Third Street from Elgin 'to High Street and on High. Spree t exten&av
Ing northerly feet as a Local Improvement .
Znd. That, Cement sidewalks 4 feet in width' be 'constru,eted as' a
Local Improvement under the provisions of the Local Improvement
Act on Liberty Street east side from • Queen Street to Base line
on Second Street from' Elgin Street 3maning -easterly 190 feet to
� .
James Gills residence , ` on Temperance Street , east , `side from King to
Queen 5 feet and 6 feet in width, on Brown street west side
from Church Street ,t o Wellingtot Street 3 feet in width, as
local Improvement under the provi si ons' of the Looal ' Improvement .
4 Act.
3rd: That F. C . Paloae r •. Engineer of the C orporat i on' , of t he
a town of Bowmanville do forthwith makes such plant#g, profiles and
specifications as may be necessary for the making of a contract
for the work.
4th. That the Mayor and the Clerk , if they •deem it advisable ' are
authorized to cause a c3ontraot for the construction of, the work
t o' be made and entered into with a6m person or persons , , firm
or 0 orporat I on , sub j e et to the appro al pf the . Council declared
by resolution.
.5th. That the work shall , be executed and carried on under the
superintendence and ao*ording • t o the direction of such Engineer.
6th. That the Treasurer, *ay ( subj dot to the approval of the Counail).

7th, "That a special assessment be made for twenty annual install"-

within twent years on the Installment plan.

any tiao thereafter by the payment of such sums as when invested
