Soar Raptor Education was contacted and they can do a presentation of live birds, and GRCA may be able to do a talk about the migration of birds found in the th nature area. This event will be held on November 5at 10:00 a.m. and will be titled Migration Madness. Communications Joe brought in a draft of the fall newsletter for comment. The Committee agreed that a notice of Migration Madness should be included. This issue may be without a sponsor, but Karin is looking into the possibility of new sponsors for future editions. Joe will try to get the newsletter finalized and printed by October 21, in time for distribution with the Migration Madness flyers. 6. Other Business Member Resignation The open position was advertised; however, there were no applicants. No Hunting Arthur has seen hunters in the nature area on two occasions this fall. By-law will be contacted and asked to interpret the firearms by-law as it pertains to the nature area. The Committee was asked to watch for any hunting activity and if the problem persists, any further follow up measures will be taken. Joe suggested the Committee submit an article to the Mayor regarding hunting by-laws, poaching, and vandalism for consideration for Clarington’s page 2 of the Canadian Statesman.
