A BY-LAW TO FURTHER AMEND BY-LAW N0. 2194, A3 AMENDED.
WHEREA3 the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the
Township of Darlington did, on the Sixth day of July, 1961,
pass By-law 2194, to establish certain benefits for Employees
of the Corporation, and later, amended By-law 2194 by
By-law 22648
AND WHEREAS it is now deemed expedient to further amend By-law
2194, as amended;
THEREFOREthe Municipal Council of the Corporation of the
Township of Darlington enacts
1. Section 1(f) of By-law 2194 is amended by deleting therefrom
in the second line the figure "180" and substituting therefor
"200", so that the sub-section shall read.
" (f) No employee shall receive pay for absence caused through
sickness in excess of 200 days credit or of his
accumulated credits whichever is the lesser"
2. Section 1(~) of Bylaw 2194 is amended by deleting therefrom
the figures "180" in the fourth line and "90" in the fifth
line so that the sub-section shall read: ~
"(J} On retirement or separation, and employee shall be
entitled to an amount equal to his salary, wages, or
other remuneration for one-half the number of days
standing to his credit, up to a maximum of 200 days
and in any event, not in excess of the amount of
100 days at the rate received by the employee
immediately prior to the termination of employment
and providing that the employee has completed five(5)
years of service with the Corporation immediately
prior to the termination of employment."
3. Section 3 of By-law 2194 is amended by deleting therefrom
sub-section (a) and substituting the followings
(a) AlI permanent employees shall be granted an annual
vacation as followss
2 weeks after 1 years service
3 weeks of ter to years service
4 weeks after 20 years service.
4. By-law 2264 is hereby repealed.
• 5. This By-law shall take effect from the day of its passing.
