HomeMy WebLinkAbout2514a by-Law to authorize the sale of lands no longer required for municipal purposes. WHEREAS the Corporation of the Township of Darlington, hereinafter called the Township, hold certain lands and premises more particularly described in Schedules "A" and "B" attached hereto and no longer requires the said lands for municipal purposes. AND WHEREAS the Council of the Township is desiresous of selling the said lands and has offered the said lands for sale by public tender. NOW THEREFOR the Council of the Township, pursuant to The Municipal Act R.S.O. Chapter 284, Section 336 (1) HEREBY ENACTS as follows: 1. That the Township sell and convey the herein- • after mentioned lands to the persons with the highest tenders at the prices set out as follows: Land Purchaser (a) Schedule "A" Herman Snyder (b) Schedule "B" Mary-Lin Holdings Limited Price $ 12,101.00 11,250.00 2. Clerk. • r J SCHIDULE "A" to I By-LAW No. ~ ~ I* ALL AND SINGULAR that certain parcel or tract of lands and • premises situate, lying and being in the Township of Darlington in the County of Durham, in the Province of Ontario, and being composed of part of the West one-half of Lot 22 in the Third Concession in the said Township of Darlington, described as follows: PREMISING that the Westerly limit of said Lot 22 has a bearing of North 18 degrees 40 minutes West and relating all bearings herein thereto; COMMENCING at an iron pipe planted in the Westerly limit of said Lot 22 distant Southerly thereon 1,980 feet from the north- westerly angle thereof; THENCE North 72 degrees 46 minutes East a distance of 662.17 feet to an iron pipe planted in the line of a fence running Southerly, said fence marking the Easterly limit of the West one-half of said Lot 22; THENCE South 18 degrees 30 minutes East in and along the said fence a distance of 660 feet to an iron bar; • THENCE South 72 degrees 46 minutes West a distance of 660.25 feet more or less to an iron bar planted in the Westerly limit of said Lot 22, said iron bar distant Southerly thereon 660 feet from the Point of Commencement; THENCE North 18 degrees 40 minutes West along the Westerly limit of said Lot 22 a distance of 660 feet to the POINT OF COMMENCEMENT. The hereinabove described lands, containing by admeasurement 10.02 acres, be the same more or less, are shown outlined in red on a map or plan made by M. D. Brown, O.L.S., which said plan is dated Augutst 10th, 1964, and annexed to a deed in favour of the Corporation of the Township of Darlington. C~ n U _ r SCHEDULE "B" to BY-LAW No . ~r ~ r~ • ALL AND SINGULAR that certain parcel or tract of land and pre- mises situate, lying and l~i.ng in the Township of Darlin gton in the County of Durham and Province of Ontario, being composed of part of Lot 35 in the Second Concession of the said Township, said parcel or tract being more particularly described as follows: COMMENCING at a stake planted in the Westerly limit of said Lot 35, distant Southerly on said limit 1,700 feet 2z inches from the north-west angle of said lot; THENCE Easterly at right angles to the said Westerly limit of Lot 35 a distance of 528 feet; THENCE Southerly parallel with the said Westerly limit, 82 feet 6 inches; THENCE Westerly at right angles to said Westerly limit, 528 feet to a point in the said Westerly limit distant Southerly 82 feet 6 inches from the point of beginning; • THENCE Northerly in said limit 82 feet 6 inches more or less to the place of beginning. • C~
