REPORT NO. WD-33-85
Although records are poor, it can be assumed that these
reserves were put in place as a control over registration of
the plan or plans through the subdivision agreement process.
In any event, development of the lands both to the north and
south of the south limit of Plan 705 has occurred, streets
and services have been constructed, these have been accepted
by the municipality and public funds are being spent for
their maintenance. There are no outstanding obligations to
the Town which preclude dedication of the one foot reserves,
therefore, the formality should be pursued. This matter has
arisen as a result of an enquiry by a legal firm
representing the purchaser of a home in the area.
Respectfully submitted,
R.G. Dupuis, P. Eng.,
Director of Public Works.
