By-law 2020-039
Being a By-law to adopt the a municipal -wide COVID response Community
Improvement Project Area
Whereas Section 28 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended, authorizes
local municipalitiesto designate community improvement project areas and
adopt community improvement plans for such areas;
And Whereas the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Clarington
deems it advisable to prepare a municipal -wide Community Improvement Plan
to assist businesses in response to physical changes they will have to make
due to the March 17, 2020 Emergency Order issued by the Province of Ontario,
such that business will be able to safely reopen;
Now Therefore Be It Resolved That the Council ofthe Municipality of Clarington
enacts as follows:
The area shown as municipal -wide COVID response Community
Improvement Project Area on Schedule 1 to this by-law is hereby
designated as a community improvement project area.
2. This By-law shall come into force and take effect on the date of its passage.
