RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended to Council the following:
1. THAT Report PD-109-87 be received; and
2. THAT Amendment No. 3 to the Tyrone Hamlet Plan, attached hereto, be approved.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
Un February 2, 1987, the General Purpose and Administration Committee approved in
principle, an amendment to the Hamlet Plan to increase the number of permitted units in
this area from six (6) units to eleven (11) units (Report No.: PD-40-87). The amendment
was to be forwarded to Council after Regional Council considered the application. On
March 25, 1987 Staff received a copy of the resolution of Regional Council. The
resolution was:
"THAT the Council of the Town of Newcastle be advised that Regional Council has
reviewed Amendment No. 3 to the Tyrone Hamlet Development Plan, attached as
Appendix I to Commissioner's Report #87-49, and has no comments to make."

PURPOSE: The purpose .of Amendment No. 3 to the Hamlet Development Plari
for the Hamlet of Tyrone is to increase the maximum number of
permitted lots within the area designated "Short Term

BASIS: This amendment to the Hamlet Development Plan for the Hamlet of
Tyrone is based upon an application submitted to the Town of
Newcastle to amend the Plan to permit the development of an
11-lot residential subdivision on the subject lands.
ACTUAL The Hamlet Development Plan for the Hamlet of Tyrone is hereby
AMENDMENT: amended by:
i) amending Schedule 1 by changing from "6" to "11" the
maximum number of residential lots permitted in the "Stbrt
Term Residential Expansion" area in Part of Lot 9,
Concession 6, former Township of Darlington, as shown on
the attached Schedule 'A'."
IMPLEMENTATION: The provisions set forth in the Town of Newcastle Official Plan,
• as amended, regarding the implementation of the Plan shall apply
in regard to this Amendment.
INTERPRETATION: The provisions set forth in the Town of Newcastle Official Plan,
as amended, regarding the interpretation of .the Plan shall apply
in regard to this Amendment.
