2. DISCUSSION OF MAINTENANCE
The Municipal Clerk provided information regarding the maintenance of the
various cemeteries, outlining the individuals who have been performing the
maintenance and the amounts being paid. The Committee was advised that the
individuals looking after the Tyrone Cemetery and the Hampton South Cemetery
would like an increase in the maintenance fee (increase to $20/cut for the Tyrone
Cemetery and to $500 annually for the Hampton South Cemetery). The
Committee agreed that the increases are warranted due to rising fuel costs.

Cemeteries Board
John Bate advised the Committee that two of the cemeteries are in dire need of
maintenance – the Smith Family Cemetery and the Brown Family Cemetery.
The Municipality’s weed contractor will be asked to clean both plots.
John Bate has been in contact with the owners of the property where the Coulter-
Hamilton Family Plot is located. The stones in this plot should be restored.
3. 2007 PROJECTS
It was agreed that, once the Municipal weed contractor has had a chance to
clean the Smith Family Cemetery and the Brown Family Cemetery, a tour will be
scheduled so the Committee members can familiarize themselves with the
various cemeteries. Following the tour, a works schedule will be formulated.
The tour will be scheduled for a Saturday in June to allow all members to be able
to attend. John will arrange a bus.
