Minutes of a Special Meeting of Council held
on January 21st, 1980 at 2:30 p.m. in the Bell
Building Oammittee Roam.
Present were: Mayor Garnet B. Rickard
Councillor Keith Barr
Councillor William Clark
Councillor Ann Cowman
Councillor Ivan Hobbs
Councillor Jasper Holliday
Councillor Maurice Prout
Also present: A. C. Guiler, Town Manager

THAT Albert Guiler be appointed Acting Clerk for this
special meeting of Council held on January 21st, 1980.

Moved by Councillor Holliday, seconded by Councillor Clarke
THAT a 7% across the board increase be granted to all non-
union anployees, employed by the Town of Newcastle.

'!HAT the foregoing resolution be amended by changing
the percentage rate to 8.069% with a maximum increase of
$2,000.00 and a minimum increase of $1,000.00.

amended to limit the maximum increase to $1,500.00.

an increase of $500.00 plus a 5% increase for all non-union
