DeGroot, Treasurer The Town Clerk called the meeting to order and advised Council that Mayor Rickard was on holiday and also Councillor Hobbs, who was the Acting Mayor designated by by-law in the absence of the Mayor. The Tbwn Clerk then called for a resolution to appoint an Acting Mayor for this meeting. Resolution #C-80-96 MJved by Councillor Prout, seconded by Councillor Barr '!HAT Councillor Jasper W. "CARRIED' , '-' \., '-' Council Minutes Mr. Lorne Crago re Snowrrobile Trail,Highway ll5/35 Mr. fun Allin re Extension of Lions Centre, Bowmanville Coomun icat ions -2- January 28 1980 Mr. Lome Crago presented a brief to Council requesting that they pass a resolution to support the building of a culvert across Highway 115/35 for the use of snowrrobilers. Mr. Crago answered questions of members of Council. See Resolution #C-80-128 Resolution #C-80-99 MJved by Councillor Prout, seconded by Councillor Clarke THAT Council hear the delegation of Mr. fun Allin regarding a proposed extension to the Lions Centre in Bowmanville. "CARRIED' , Resolution #C-80-101 Moved by Councillor Cowman, seconded by Councillor Barr 'IHAT the Treasurer be authorized to apply to the Ministry of Culture and Recreation for a C.R.C.A. Grant for the Bowmanville Lions Community Centre addition. THAT staff prepare a draft by-law designating the Bowmanville Lions Community Centre a Community Centre and prepare a draft lease agreement for discussion at the next Finance and Administration Coomittee.
