WHEREAS the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the Township of Darlhington deems
it expedient to prohibit the making or establishment of pits and quarries in. the
Township,
NOW THEREFORE, pursuant to Paragraph 6, Sub-section 1, of Section 27A of the
Planning Act 1955, as amended the Council of the Corporation of the Township of
Darlington hereby enacts:
1. That the making or establishing of pits and quarries vrithin the Township,
is hereby prohibited,
2, This B~-law shall come into force and take effect-from the date of its
passing, subect to the approval of the Ontario Municipal Board,`
j, Any person who contravenes the provisions of this By-law shall, upon
conviction, be liable to a penalty of not more than Fifty Dollars (~50,00~,
and every such penalty shall be recoverable under the provisions of the
Suummary Convictions Act,
