WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Township
of Darlington deems it advisable to purchase from Harold W. Salter
approximately 4 acres of land hawing 279 feet frontage on the Taunton Road
as widened and running Northerly on the West Side of Alma Street in
original Township Lot 17 in the 5th Concession of the Township of
Darlington, for the purpose of establishing a garage, workshop and storage
buildings for the Roads Department of the Township of Darlington.
NOW THEREFORE pursuant to the Municipal Act, R.S.O.
1950, Chapter 243, Section 345 (1 ), the Council of the Corporation of
the Township of Darlington hereby enacts as follows;
1. The Township of Darlington is hereby authorized to acquire
approximately 4 acres of land from Harold W. Salter, in original
Township Lot 17, in tYie 5th Concession of the Township of Darlington,
having 279 feet frontage on the Taunton Road as widened and lying
Westerly of Alma Street according to a plan of the Villa ge of Hampton,
at the purchase price of X3,000.00.
2. The said lands are to be used for the establishment and construction
of a garage, workshop and storage buildings including any necessary
offices and stock rooms in connection therewith and for establishing
and maintaining stock piles of material or equipment required by the
Roads Department of the Township of Darlington.
3. The Reeve and Clerk shall be and are authorized to do all things and
sign all documents necessary to complete the purchase of the lands
from Harold W. Salter.
