HomeMy WebLinkAbout2137 A by-law to authorize the issue of Debentures in the principal amount of $75,000.00 for public school purposes. - 2 - 1st day of June in each of the years 1961 to 1930, both inclusive, and the respective amounts of rrincipal and interest payable in each of said. years shall be as set out in Schedule f~4n hereto, which is hereby declared to be and to form part of this By-law. 3. The said Debentures shall be payable as to both princi- pal and interest in lawful money of Canada a.t the Bank of PTontreal in the Town of Bovvianville or at the principal office of the said Bank ir. either of the Cities of Toronto or Montreal, at the Yiolder~s option. ~.. The said Debentures shall be sealed with the Seal of the Corporation and signed by the Reeve, or by some other person authorized by By-law to sign the same, and by the Treasurer. The interest coupons attached to the Debentures shall be signed. by the Treasurer and his signature thereon may be written, stamped., lithographed or engraved. 5. In each of the years 1Q61 to 1930, both inclusive, there shall be levied and raises annually by a special rate sufficient therefor, over a.nd above all other rates, on all the ratable pro- perty of public school supporters in that part of t're Township of Darlington included in the South Darlington Township School Area at the same time and in the same manner as other rates the respec- tive aggregate amounts falling due for principal and. interest in thaw year as set forth in the fourth column of Schedule t~A~ hereto, provided that the respective amounts to be raised annually as afore- said may be rQduced in each year by the respective amounts raised and paid to the Township of Darlington in accordance with the provisions of The Public Schools Fct by any other municipality the whole or any part of which is included ir. t'r_e South Darlington Township School AArea. 6. The said Debentures may contain a clause providing for registration pursuant to Section 335 of The Municipal Act. 7. Pending the issue and sale of the said Debentures the Reeve and Treasurer may agree with a ba-nk or other person for -._ ~ r - 3 - temporary adsances from time to time to meet expenditures incurred for the purposes aforesaid.
