DESIGNATING THRO[~,g HIGHWAYS.

WHERBA3 subsection j oP section 41 of the Highway Traffic Act
( R,S,O, 1950, Chapter 167) provided that;-
The driver or operator of every vehicle or car of an electric railway
shall before entering or crossing a through highway bring the vehicle or car
to a full stop irmaediately before entering the nearest crosswalk or stop-line
then i~mnediately before entering the travelled portiott oP the through highway,

"THROUGH HIC~WAY" shall mean any highwayy or part of a highway designated as
such by the Minister or by By-law oP an Municipality approved by the Department
and every such highway. shall be marked to comply with the regulations of the
Department;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Darlington
enacts as followas-
1, The following highways and parts of highways in the Municipality of
Darlington are designated as " through highways " ;_

2, Thia by-law shall not become e:fective until approved by the
~Partment of gighwgya and until signs have been erected and are on
display in compliancx with the regulations oP the Department,
