COMMENTS: 2.1 Since January 1, 1993 the By-law Enforcement Division has attende' Court on four occasions for first appearance matters, prosecutiOn lind appeals. During this time a total of 38 charges were brougt before the Court exclusive of parking matters. ~hese resulted 12 convictions, (see attached list). No charges were dismissed' withdrawn. On conviction, no fine is levied, however, the Court may impose a probation term or suspend passage of sentence for a specified period of time. ,f the defendant is brought back before the Court during the probation period on a similar charge, he may be sentenced at that time on the original matter as well.
