BOWMANVILLE RECREATION COMPLEX
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the following:
1. That Report TR-I04-90 be received;
2. That Dayco Distributing Ltd., Oshawa, Ontario, with a
total bid in the amount of $45,742.32 being the lowest
responsible bidder meeting all terms, conditions and
specifications of Tender NW90-48 be awarded the
contract forthwith for the Supply and Installation of
Kitchen Equipment at the Bowmanville Recreation
Complex; and
3. That the funds be drawn from the 1990 approved
Community Services Capital budget, Account
#7606-00008-0501.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
Tender specifications were issued and publicly advertised for the
Supply and Installation of Kitchen Equipment as required by the
Department of Community Services.

Subsequently, tenders were received and tabulated as follows:

The required funds will be drawn from the Community Services
Capital budget, Account #7606-00008-0501, as reflected on page
165 of the 1990 Capital budget.
In order that the equipment may be ordered and installed as soon
as possible, a forthwith approval is requested.
The Treasurer has reviewed the funding and concurs with the
recommendation. Queries with respect to department needs,
specifications, etc., should be referred to the Director of
Community Services.
After further review and analysis of the bids by Purchasing and
Community Services, it was mutually agreed that the low bidder,
Dayco Distributing Ltd., Oshawa, Ontario, be recommended for the
contract for the Supply and Installation of Kitchen Equipment at
the Bowmanville Recreation Complex.

The subject firm have satisfactorily completed several projects
within the Durham Region.
