TENDER NW90-46, HEAVY DUTY BLEACHERS
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the following:
1. That Report TR-100-90 be received;
2. That Henderson Recreation Equipment Limited, Norwich,
Ontario, with a total bid of $18,792.00, being the
lowest responsible bidder meeting all terms, conditions
and specifications of Tender NW90-46, be awarded the
contract for the supply and delivery of Heavy Duty
Bleachers, as required by the Department of Community
Services; and
3. That the total funds required in the amount of
$18,792.00 be drawn from the approved Community
Services Capital Budget, Account #7603-00001-0516.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
A tender was publicly advertised in the four (4) area papers and
invited for the supply and delivery of Heavy Duty Bleachers, as
required by the Department of Community Services.
Subsequently, tenders were received and tabulated as follows:

The total funds required in the amount of $18,792.00 will be
drawn from the Community Services Capital Budget, Account
#7603-00001-0516, and are within the total budget allocation of
$20,000.00, as reflected on page 178 of the 1990 Capital Budget.
The Treasurer has reviewed the funding and concurs with the
recommendation. Queries with respect to department needs,
specifications, etc., should be referred to the Director of
Community Services.
After review and analysis of the bids by both Purchasing and
Community Services, it was mutually agreed that the low bid from
Henderson Recreation Equipment Limited, Norwich, Ontario, be
recommended for the tender award for the supply and delivery of
Heavy Duty Bleachers, as required by the Department of Community
Services. The subject firm have previously performed
satisfactorily for the Town of Newcastle.
