The Engineering Services Department currently requires that drop curbs be put in for all new construction of sidewalks and sidewalk replacements. Engineering is also in charge of the municipality’s transit system and Leslie informed the committee that the buses that the municipality owns are “kneel down” buses that can lower their front ends to enhance accessibility.
