1. ADOPTION OF MINUTES
Moved by Pat Rundle, seconded by Darlene Matthews
THAT the minutes of the meeting held on April 7, 2005 be approved.

2. CLARINGTON ACCESSIBILITY BUSINESS COMMUNITY CHALLENGE
Ron Collis advised the committee that to date the challenge stands the same as
last month.
Ron Collis asked the committee members again to go in person to individual
businesses to explain what the challenge is about and encourage them to get
involved. Posters have been designed and have been displayed in store
windows of Norm’s Deli, Espresso Legato and the Home Hardware Store.
3. RICK HANSEN WHEELS IN MOTION CAMPAIGN
Councillor Foster informed the committee that Liam Titcomb will be performing at
the Campaign, he will also be signing posters and CD’s. There will also be
performances from the SASS Kids. He also asked that the committee members
to keep approaching different business and service groups for sponsorship.

4. OTHER BUSINESS
David Kelly mentioned that he had a meeting with George Acorn, Facilities
Manager regarding installing a hydraulic adult size changing table in the family
change rooms of the Courtice Community Complex.
Keith Kelly is concerned about the negative action that he has received regarding
the installation of Audio Lights at the corner of Liberty Street and Highway 2, and
the negative response of maintaining hedges along sidewalks.
5. DATE OF NEXT MEETING
The next regular meeting is scheduled to be held on June 1, 2005 at 6:30 p.m. in
Meeting Room 1A at the Municipal Administrative Centre.
6. ADJOURNMENT
Moved by Keith Kelly, seconded by Councillor Foster
THAT the meeting adjourn at 8:00 p.m.
