In the absence of the Chair, Sally Barrie assumed the position and call the meeting to
order.
1. MINUTES
Moved by Darlene Matthew, seconded by Sylvia Jaspers-Fayer
THAT the minutes of the meeting held on May 7, 2008 be approved.

2. ITEMS ARISING FROM MINUTES

a) Bowmanville 150 Anniversary Celebrations
The Committee will investigate the possibility of manning an information
th
booth at the Saturday celebrations of Bowmanville’s 150celebrations.
The message being highlighted will be accessible parking. The
Committee members will be contacted to determine who is available to
volunteer at the booth.
b) Lakeridge Health Accessibility Projects
David, Sylvia and Keith will be attending at Lakeridge Health to provide
input into their upcoming projects.
c) Accessibility Challenge
Information from the March of Dimes will be provided at the next meeting.

3. NEW BUSINESS
a) Regional Municipality of Durham – Region-Wide Accessibility Forum
Moved by Sylvia Jasper-Fayer, seconded by Darlene Matthews,
THAT a Region-wide accessibility forum/information event be approved, in
principle.
“CARRIED”
4. DATE OF NEXT MEETING
The next meeting will be held September 3, 2008, 6:00 p.m. in Committee
Room 1A.
5. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned at 6:50 p.m.
