A By-Law to raise by way of taxation certain sums of money for Township, County, and School purposes in the Township of Darlington for the year 1940.
The Municipal Council of the Corporation of Darlington hereby enacts that the several sums
of money hereinafter mentioned be levied upon the whole o£ the rateable property of the
said Township of Darlington as it appears by the last revised assessment roll of the said
township, save and except the sums mentioned as lYCal school rates and 8or School Debenture
No. 18 in 8.3. No.B, School Debenture No. 16 in S.S. No, 19, and School Debenture No, l3 in
S,S.No. 24 which sums shall be levied upon the several school sections respectively named.
1, The sum of Twenty-five Thousand,Eight Hundred and Seventy nine Dollars and Fifty Cents
by a rate of Ten and Eighty-seven Hundredths "4ills as County Rate. Rate 10.L6
2. The sum of Four Hundred and Twenty-four Dollars and Seventy-seven Cents by a rate to be
levied on the rateable property of S.S.No. 8 of the said township being the amount required
to retire and settle Debenture No.18 and interest coupons due in 1940, having been issued
by the Township of Darlington at the request of the Board of Trustees of the said school
section, Rate 2.26.
3• The sum of Two Hundred and Eighty-nine Dollars and Forty-five Cents by a rate to be levied
on the rateable property of S.S.No. 19 of the said township, being the amount required to
retire and settle Debenture No.l.6, the said debenture having been issued by the Township of
Darlington at the request of the Board of Trustees of the said school section. Rate 3.66,
~F. The s2~m of Eighty-o=Le!Dollars and Eighty-eight Cents by a rate to be levied upon the
whole of the rateable property of S. S.No.24 of the said Township of Darlington being the
amount requited to retire and settle Debenture No.l3 and interest coupons due in the year 1940,
the laid debentures having been issued by the Township of East PPhitby at the request of the
Board of Trustees of the Union S.S•No, 6 in the Township of East Pvhitby. Rate 7.~{j..
5. The sum of Foarteen Thousand, Foci' rHuadred and Fmu~ Dollars by a rate o°--x,,05 ,'~aj:Ts being
the amount required as a general school rate pursuant to the Statutes on'+`•5e`-behalf. Rrzt~ 6.05.
6. The sum o£ Ei;ht Thousand, Three ~,andred and Fifty Doll:~rs by a race_af 4 mills;, this
amount being required as a township rate.
