Subject: REPORT FOR INFORMATION ON "CLARINGTON COMMERCIAL PROFILES"
Recommendations:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration
Committee recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT Report PD-26-98 be received for information.
1. The purpose of this report is to inform Committee of the "Clarington Commercial
Profiles" that staff has compiled. These profiles, are intended to supply the
Economic Development Department and the public with a visual and written
synopsis of commercial lands and/or buildings. The objective of the commercial
profiles is to promote commercial development within the Municipality.
2 The Clarington Commercial Profiles were originally compiled in December of 1995
and are updated on asemi-annual basis. The number of profiles fluctuates,
depending upon the number of commercial applications received within the
Planning Department.
3 Each profile contains a location map, a site plan (if available), the project name,
the owner, a contact name, address and phone number, official plan and zoning
information, a brief project description, planning status, a proposed occupancy
date (if available), planning department file numbers and the name of the planner
assigned to the application.

4. For Committee's information, an example profile is attached to this report
(Attachment #1). A complete set of commercial profiles will be provided to the
Committee members under separate cover.
