1. In Chair K. Symak's absence S. DeJong chaired the meeting.
Barry Carmichael was welcomed as newly appointed board member for a 1 year term.

That the following invoices be paid as presented:

3. NEW BUSINESS
a) S Fogg requesting LOA December 23 to January 2. D. DeJong will clean 2 hours per day East
Wing during this time. K. Symak will wind clock and S. DeJong will handle garbage.
b) G. Bell will be on vacation December 29 to January 5.
c) R. Malone requesting LOA of 3 months due to health concerns.
Motion by M. Zwart, seconded by J. Calder
That 3 month LOA is accepted and will be reviewed if necessary after 3 months.

d) January 10 2020 Council will have budget meeting. At this time we will have M. Zwart represent
board if questions arise concerning budget requests for Hall.
e) Check in amount of $2271.40 has been received from Municipality (paid by Coco Paving) to
cover expenses incurred during break in water lines to building while parking lot was being
paved.
f) Letter received from Horticultural Society regarding charge from F.O.S. Maintenance for
watering the urns out front. K. Symak will be talking to both groups to see if it can be resolved.
Acting as intermediary only as board feels this is not their issue.
g) Request from Lions Club to hold a second night for Hotel California to raise funds for Hospice
Durham. Board agreed concert to close to consider working together to put on second night.
Would consider collaborating for 2021 concert.
h) Durham Lodge requesting 2 additional front door keys and 2 keys for main hall. Board agreed to
front door keys, but denied request for main hall.
