BY-LAW NO. 2011-013
Being a By-law to repeal By-law 2004-229,
being a by-law to establish the composition
of the Clarington Public Library Board
WHEREAS Section 9(1) of the Public Libraries Act, R.S.O. 1990, provides that a
public library board for a municipality whose population is less than 100,000,
shall be composed of at least five (5) members appointed by the Municipal
Council;
AND WHEREAS pursuant to the requirements of the Public Libraries Act,
R.S.O. 1990, the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Clarington
enacted By-law 2003-188, establishing the Composition of the Clarington Public
Library Board;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Clarington
enacted By-law 2004-229 to change the composition of the Board;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Clarington
now deems it desirable to amend the composition of the Board to the original as
stated in By-law 2003-188;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE
MUNICIPALITY OF CLARINGTON HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
THAT By-law 2004-229 is hereby repealed.
BY-LAW read a first time this 31st day of January, 2011.
BY-LAW read a second time this 31 st day of January, 2011.
BY-LAW read a third time and finally passed this 31st day of January, 2011.
