Chairman and Members of the Finance and Administration Committee:
Resolution #F-183-81 requests the Management Committee to report
on the status of the Newcastle Arena Board's request for the
creation of a parking lot on land on the west side of Baldwin Street.
This matter has been researched by the Committee and it appears that on
October 2 1980 Mr. Guiler submitted a report to the Committee to the
effect that the matter should be brought forward to budget discussions
in 1981.
However, when the report was submitted, it was received for information
until the ownership of the land was determined.
The Management Committee recommends that before proceeding any further,
that staff negotiate with East Woodbridge Developments with regard to
establishing a purchase price for the property.
