SUBJECT: Resolution F-62-81
"That the foregoing resolution be tabled until the policy for
expenses for educational courses is reviewed."
ITEM: TR-16-81
Recommendation:
a) "That the policy be reviewed at the next regular meeting of the
Finance & Administration Committee."
b) "That resolution F-61-81 be amended to read $700."
Report:
The policy referred to is covered on page 4 of Qy-Law 79-90 and reads
as follows:
EDUCATIONAL CDURSES
Courses will be made available to all employees with pay and expenses
according to the following procedures:
L Employee must be sent by Department Head.
2. A previous budget allowance has been made.
All courses shall be presented to the Finance and Administration Committee
for consideration, on reconirnendation of Committee responsible for that
Department.
The wording of this section is sufficiently ambigious to make interpretation
difficult, therefore, I would recommend that this be reviewed in the
future and that currently it not apply to travel expenses.
