That this report be received by the Committee, and 2. That Council adopt the following resolution in respect to the above. Whereas the Council of the Town of Newcastle..... ~ /3 • Be it now resolved therefore that Council hereby adopts, approved, denies..... Background: Brief review of the history of the particular matter....... Concluding with brief statement as to what staff's understanding of the situation is. Comment: Reasons for presenting the recommendation. Attachment 2. STANDARD FORMAT FOR COMMITTEE AND COUNCIL AGENDAS On coloured paper with the Town Crest. At the top of the page would be in caps TOWN OF NEWCASTLE, date, time and place of the meeting. Then, the format would read - Prayers, Roll Call and Minutes of previous meetings. Delegations with notation that delegations are limited to ten minutes in duration. ~ /3 Communications marked "Received for Information" and numbered I - 1, I - 2, I - 3, etc. Following that would be "Received for Direction" marked D - 1, D - 2, D - 3, etc. Following that is Motions, following that is Notice of Motions, then Reports. Reports would list out the items considered by the General Purpose and Administration Committee in the order presented at the General Purpose and Administration Committee meeting held previous to the Council meeting. Each report would be numbered • consecutively and would be identified by the departmental report number. Receive for Information I-1 I-2 I-3 Receive for Direction D-1 D-2 D-3 Departmental number report In numeric order By-Law to approve all actions of Council Adjournment Attachment 3. ~ I, STANDARD FORMAT FOR THE AGENDA FOR THE GENERAL PURPOSE AND ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE Following the same format as presently used, including 8?" x 11" coloured paper, the Town Crest on the upper left-hand corner, and the title being GENERAL PURPOSE AND ADMTNISTRATION COMMITTEE OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE, date, time and place of the meting. AGENDA 1. Roll Call 2. Minutes of previous meetings. 3. Delegations, with a notation that these are limited to ten minutes. • 4. Staff reports. These are to be grouped according to the department from which they originate under the words "Staff Report" on the left-hand side of the page. The first grouping would be "Report from the Chief Administrative Officer", the second would be `Report from the Clerk's Departmnt", the third would be "Report from the Community Services Departmnt", including reports from the Fire Department. Fourth grouping would be "Report from the Planning and Development Department", including reports from the Building Division. The fifth grouping would be "Report from the Public Works Department" The Sixth grouping would be "Report from the Treasury Department". • All reports should be identified in consecutive order through the entire listing, within each grouping reports should be placed in consecutive order according to the departmental ordering number system. The next item on the agenda would be any other committee in operation in the Town such as the Committee of Adjustment or the Nydro Liaison Committee. The Seventh item on the agenda would be "Outstanding Items", to be attended to the top sheet of the agenda as a separate matter. The Eighth item would be "Other Business" and the Ninth item concluding the meeting "Adjournment".
